Job Description

Resumen This position ensures material availability, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and timely procurement while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and supply chain efficiency. Responsabilidades Mains Responsibilities: Execute MRP planning activities to ensure timely material availability for production. Analyze demand requirements, inventory levels, forecasts, and production schedules. Generate and release purchase orders based on system requirements and operational needs. Monitor supplier performance regarding delivery, quality, and responsiveness. Follow up on open purchase orders and expedite materials when necessary. Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams to avoid material shortages. Maintain accurate planning parameters, lead times, safety stock levels, and supplier information within ERP/MRP systems. Support inventory control initiatives to minimize excess and obsolete materials. Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement projects. Analyze shortages, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Prepare reports related to inventory, supplier performance, and purchasing metrics. Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and environmental/safety requirements. Support audits and documentation requirements related to Purchasing and Supply Chain activities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, MRP Planning, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing/maquiladora environment. Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of inventory control and material planning processes. Experience working with suppliers and managing purchase orders. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Understanding of import/export processes and supplier logistics. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. REQ-154722
