Job Description

About Solace

Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.

We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S. based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.

Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

About the Role

As a People Operations Associate at Solace, you’ll play a critical role in helping our People team operate smoothly and scale effectively. You’ll support key parts of the employee lifecycle — including onboarding, offboarding, compliance, recruiting coordination, systems administration, and employee experience — helping ensure employees have a thoughtful, organized, and high-quality experience from start to finish.

This role reports to the People Operations Manager and partners closely with teams across Finance, Recruiting, and Operations. It’s an opportunity to join a fast-growing startup environment and help build scalable People Operations processes and infrastructure as the company grows.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, operationally minded, and energized by helping teams and employees succeed behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Own and coordinate the onboarding experience for new hires, including systems access, equipment, documentation, and first-week logistics

  • Ensure employees feel supported, informed, and set up for success from day one

  • Manage offboarding processes with accuracy, empathy, and operational rigor

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure secure and compliant employee transitions

Compliance & People Systems

  • Help maintain compliance with federal and state employment requirements

  • Support documentation management, I-9 verification, and audit readiness processes

  • Maintain employee data accuracy across HR and People systems

  • Help improve operational workflows and process documentation across the People function

Recruiting Coordination & Employee Experience

  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to coordinate interviews and support candidate communications

  • Help deliver a thoughtful and organized candidate experience

  • Support employee engagement initiatives, internal events, team communications, and offsites

  • Assist with day-to-day People Operations support across the organization

Procurement & Operational Support

  • Coordinate employee equipment, software access, and People-related vendor operations

  • Support invoice tracking, renewals, and operational logistics

  • Help maintain organization and operational consistency across People programs and processes

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5 years of experience in People Operations, Recruiting Coordination, HR Administration, Operations, or related support roles

  • Experience working in fast-paced or high-growth environments

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and operational workflows simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

  • Experience using HR and recruiting systems such as Ashby, Gusto, Deel, Notion, Rippling, or similar platforms

  • Someone who is proactive, reliable, and enjoys building structure and process

Bonus Points

  • Previous startup experience where you operated across multiple functions

  • Exposure to benefits administration, payroll support, procurement, or compliance workflows

  • Experience in healthcare or supporting regulated environments

  • Interest in growing within People Operations over time

Why This Role Is Different

This is an opportunity to join a growing People team early and help build the operational foundation that supports employees across the company. The role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and helping a fast-moving organization run effectively behind the scenes.
