Job Description
The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Neuropsychology Tech for the Department of Neurology. This position will provide research support to the National Institute on Aging supported studies on cognitive and brain health in aging. The incumbent must interact with older adult research volunteers with cognitive functions ranging from normal to mild cognitive impairment. Duties will include: - Administering and scoring neuropsychological test batteries (i.e., standardized tests of memory, language, attention and problem-solving abilities), computerized cognitive tasks, and a variety of questionnaires with research volunteers - Conducting inter-rater reliability studies - Scoring research assessments and data entry - Monitoring quality of data - Assisting faculty and staff with paperwork - Working with other study staff and investigators in scheduling, study coordination, and tracking, organizing and transferring data.

Collects applicable data and participates in related activities correlating to clinical trials, collaborative studies, and conducted programs. Assists with data entry, auditing, and discrepancy corrections. Coordinates patient information, tracks study participants, distributes participant payments, and obtains participant contents.

Ability to communicate well and interact with older adults. Functions will include making calls, walking, talking, computer usage.
Mostly sedentary position. Some walking to various University campus sites. Lifting light objects including study binders and supplies.
