Job Description

The Office of the SVC Health Sciences is responsible for overseeing the health sciences programs and initiatives. The office aims to advance scientific discovery, clinical innovation, and education in the health sciences. The office works closely with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to ensure robust health care delivery, biomedical research, as well as commercialization and innovation opportunities. The annual budget for the Office of the SVC Health Sciences is approximately $1.6 billion.

The incumbent will be a key member of the Health Sciences Finance team and will help define project objectives, create detailed project plans, establish timelines, and ensure stakeholders understand the project scope and their responsibility for completing deliverables.

The incumbent will also be responsible for securing the necessary resources, including team members, tools, and project funding. Project tracking and reporting will also be a key responsibility of the incumbent to ensure all projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner. 

Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of simultaneous complex and diverse projects. Assists in developing timelines and ensures adherence to deadlines. Manages financial aspects of projects and other administrative duties. Handles external correspondence and drafts reports and other communications.

Exercises discretion and independent judgment in significant matters.

Advanced problem solving skills are required.

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
