The Surgical Technologist, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in the provision of high-quality, efficient care for assigned patients according to established nursing policies and procedures. He/she provides and demonstrates technical competency in a variety of specialty procedures utilizing the principles of surgical asepsis and functioning as an integral member of the surgical team.
