The Overnight Desk Attendant is a key operational role that helps support the functioning of the entire Pinkham Campus. Working from 8:30pm-6am, this role requires a self-starter with a sharp attention to detail and a strong work ethic – there is a lot to do overnight! The overnight prepares Pinkham campus for the next day - They should be prepared to welcome late-arriving guests, respond to emergencies if they arise, provide security checks, collect weather data, process laundry. Part operational, part custodial, and part guest-facing, the Overnight Desk Attendant role is for anyone looking to work independently while contributing to a unique outdoor hospitality operation!
What you’ll be doing at AMC
- Work the evening shift (8:30 PM-6:30 AM)
- Welcome and check in guests at the Joe Dodge Lodge assuring that all necessary paperwork is completed
- Ensure basic safety and overall efficiency of campus through the evening into the morning. Complete walkabouts of campus throughout the night including scans of the parking lot, ensure all buildings are properly secured.
- Open buildings in the morning for incoming staff.
- Enforce 10 p.m. quiet-time curfew in the Joe Dodge Lodge and across campus.
- Process and prepare all laundry and maintain laundry room.
- Snow removal and walkway upkeep.
- Perform custodial duties at the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center and Joe Dodge Lodge.
- Record various weather measurements and data.
- Monitor electric and heat settings in all buildings
- Check all boilers/meters and log information
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Physical Abilities required: ability to stand, sit, bend at waist, carry up to 30 pounds, lift up to 20 pounds from floor level to waist level
What AMC is looking for
- Proven ability to successfully accomplish multiple tasks without direct supervision, required.
- Aptitude for making quick, yet well-thought-out decisions regarding customer service standards, internal procedures, and potential emergencies, required.
- Experience with customer service, preferred.

Salary range: $15.45

The initial salary represents our starting point, and our compensation philosophy is designed to reward and recognize the contributions of our employees as they grow within the organization. External candidates typically begin their journey with us at the starting point of the salary range. The final compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, skills and geographic differential relevant to the position, and will be discussed during the interview process.
