Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, SRMC Laboratory Production  to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

 

The Manager, SRMC Laboratory Production  is responsible for managing laboratory resources to support liquid waste operations. Provides support to ensure Laboratory equipment, supporting utilities and Laboratory facilities are available and in good working condition to support Laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Laboratory Director when the Laboratory Director is not available to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations
  • Manage and serve as primary point of contact for new analytical scope to include laboratory studies, non-process sample requests and any external analytical scope from SRMC and outside facilities.
  • Develop and evaluate non-routine/external Analytical Service Requests.
  • Evaluate laboratory resources availability to support non-routine and external analytical support to include analytical capabilities, resources, workload, personnel, budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments and other facilities to ensure schedule, budget and scope objectives are met.
  • Work with schedulers and project control for schedule development and associated cost codes for support of external scope. Assists with the preparation of budgets to meet established deadlines.
  • Coordinate the shipment and receiving of non-routine samples to include doorstops and special samples. Package and prepare samples/doorstops for shipment with associated paperwork (sample labels, change of custody, shipping manifest and rad surveys).
  • Interface with other facilities to provide updates on scope progress, reports, and tracking of schedule.
  • Evaluate areas for laboratory operational and process improvements to support additional non-routine scope. Plan and guide the implementation of improvements ensuring completion of goals and availability of resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and relevant experience; or
  • High School Diploma and a combination of secondary education and/or relevant experience

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. Minimum Pay

USD $104,916.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $188,772.00/Yr.
