Graduates of our EMS Training Academies are offered a full-time EMR position with Maricopa Ambulance, a proud part of the Priority Ambulance Family of Companies, with a minimum 12-month full-time employment commitment following licensure.
📘 Academy Details:
- Format: Live, instructor-led classroom sessions and labs as well as clinical rotations
- Location: Phoenix, AZ (On-Site)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm (times are subject to change based on training schedule) one-hour paid lunch break each day. (up to 40 hours per week)
- Program Length: 4 weeks
- Certification Level: EMR (Emergency Medical Responder)
🧑🏫 Expected from Participants:
- Full engagement with attendance to all classes, labs, and clinical rotations.
- prompt testing for License upon course completion.
- commitment to work for Maricopa Ambulance in a full-time position for at least 1 year following licensure.

📝 Admission Requirements:
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be 21 years of age or older or turning 21 by the start of class
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Hold a valid and current driver’s license
- AZ resident for at least 1 year (Provide proof of residency)
- No debt with Maricopa Community Colleges
- Be able to pass:
- A pre-employment interview
- Pre-employment testing (FISDAP)
- Background check (including Motor Vehicle Record screening)
- Drug screening
