Job Description
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure new municipal, commercial, residential, and roll-off accounts.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of leads across all business lines.
- Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and negotiations with prospective customers.
- Maintain a deep understanding of pricing structures, service offerings, and competitor positioning.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and bid responses tailored to customer needs and local regulations.
- Represent the company at industry events, municipal meetings, and trade associations.
Municipal Bids & Contract Procurement
- Research and track upcoming RFPs, RFQs, and municipal bid opportunities across assigned territories.
- Manage the full municipal bid process, including document review, pricing development, compliance requirements, and submission.
- Build strong relationships with municipal decision-makers, town administrators, public works directors, and procurement offices.
- Maintain a bid calendar and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
- Collaborate with operations to gather data needed for bid accuracy (tonnage, routing, equipment needs, service levels).
Account Management
- Serve as the primary contact for key commercial, municipal, and roll-off customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and rapid issue resolution.
- Conduct periodic account reviews to identify growth opportunities and prevent churn.
- Develop and maintain customer service standards, retention strategies, and client touch-point plans.
