Job Description

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new municipal, commercial, residential, and roll-off accounts.
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of leads across all business lines.
  • Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and negotiations with prospective customers.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of pricing structures, service offerings, and competitor positioning.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and bid responses tailored to customer needs and local regulations.
  • Represent the company at industry events, municipal meetings, and trade associations.

Municipal Bids & Contract Procurement

  • Research and track upcoming RFPs, RFQs, and municipal bid opportunities across assigned territories.
  • Manage the full municipal bid process, including document review, pricing development, compliance requirements, and submission.
  • Build strong relationships with municipal decision-makers, town administrators, public works directors, and procurement offices.
  • Maintain a bid calendar and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
  • Collaborate with operations to gather data needed for bid accuracy (tonnage, routing, equipment needs, service levels).

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for key commercial, municipal, and roll-off customers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and rapid issue resolution.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews to identify growth opportunities and prevent churn.
  • Develop and maintain customer service standards, retention strategies, and client touch-point plans.
