Join our team as a Seasonal Retail Associate and help create a welcoming, memorable shopping experience for our resort guests. In this guest-facing role, you’ll assist customers with purchases, maintain an organized and visually appealing retail space, and support daily gift shop operations. What You’ll Do
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service to resort guests and assist with merchandise selection
- Operate a computerized POS system to process cash, credit, and other transactions accurately
- Open and close registers, including verifying cash banks, balancing drawers, and completing end-of-shift procedures
- Maintain retail displays, including merchandising shop floors and window displays
- Receive, inspect, tag, and restock merchandise
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with monthly inventory counts, and communicate reorder needs
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked (dusting, vacuuming, straightening displays)
- Gift wrap items and assist guests with purchases as needed
- Support overall retail operations and complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred (not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Frequent use of hands for operating a register, handling merchandise, and stocking shelves
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Repetitive motions such as scanning items, folding, and hanging merchandise
Work Environment
- Retail shop setting within a busy resort environment
- Frequent interaction with guests and team members
- May require working weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods
- Exposure to moderate noise levels and high guest traffic
