Truss Sales, Scheduling & Customer Service Representative
Location: St George
Compensation: Hourly Purpose
Play a key role in supporting customers and operations by coordinating truss manufacturing schedules, assisting customers at the sales counter, and helping drive smooth, efficient daily operations in a fast‑paced team environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide customer service and inside sales support, including assisting customers at the sales counter
Gather customer requirements and coordinate with sales, production, and internal teams to support truss manufacturing and delivery
Review and manage production schedules and work orders, adjusting priorities as needed to meet customer and operational needs
Distribute and track work orders, monitor production progress, and communicate schedule updates or delays
Prepare quotes, enter orders, and generate invoices and related sales documentation accurately
Support inventory coordination, expedite special or spare part orders, and assist with receiving as needed
Assist with front‑office duties, including answering phones, processing payments, and handling credits or returns
Collaborate with outside sales representatives to support customer satisfaction
Open and/or close the facility as assigned
Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety meetings
Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements
Education or experience equivalent to a certificate from a college or technical school, or at least one year of related experience and/or training. Core Competencies Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze information and develop practical solutions
Proven customer service skills, including the ability to handle challenging situations professionally and effectively
Effective conflict resolution skills; listen actively and remain open to feedback and new ideas
Sales aptitude with the ability to understand customer needs, address objections, and support sales goals
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment
Professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed under pressure
Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Working knowledge of order processing systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software
Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions with attention to detail
Availability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in both office and outdoor settings and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
