Patient Care Assistant (PCA) / Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) - Med Surg

Patient care assistant/health unit coordinators help maintain Olmsted Medical Center’s service and performance. This position supports nursing staff in the delivery of patient care services and is under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Duties include, but are not limited to, obtaining vital signs and assisting with personal care and hygiene for patients. Additional duties will include receptionist and clerical work. They must have excellent communication skills in order to serve as this vital link between the clinicians, nursing staff, various departments, patients, and visitors. They may serve as a receptionist on patient floors. They must possess a pleasant and professional disposition in dealing with the public.
