DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter new patient information
- Verify patient information of all agency records
- Assist with filing, scanning and answering phones as needed
- Perform pre-certification on patients and communicate with clinicians as needed
- Work with intake department as needed to expedite scheduling of new patients
- Maintain confidentiality of all agency records
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Work collaboratively with other teams in the department to ensure a seamless workflow
- Maintain proficiency in insurance verifications forms, protocols, procedures, websites and proprietary software
- Perform insurance verification phone calls and web-portal tasks as needed
- Participate cross-functionally with pre-certification tasks as needed
EXPERIENCE:
- Insurance verification experience required
- Experience with Microsoft products: Teams, Excel
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:
- This role is in an office environment. The ability to work well with others in a shared environment is a must.
- Office encourages Team building and comradery while maintaining a professional work environment.
- Occasional overtime required to perform job functions.
