Job Description
The Safety Officer plays a vital role in fostering a culture of safety and accountability across all field operations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with company safety standards, conducting on-site inspections and safety meetings, and providing guidance and training to employees to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

What You’ll Do
- Champion safety in the field: Conduct daily on-site safety observations to ensure compliance with PPE and company safety policies.
- Monitor and report: Generate monthly safety observation reports and communicate findings to field supervisors and management.
- Lead safety engagement: Conduct monthly safety meetings with field employees to reinforce best practices and address potential hazards.
- Audit and improve: Perform weekly safety audits of the warehouse and field sites to identify risks and recommend improvements.
- Investigate incidents: Lead investigations for all workplace incidents and accidents; complete OSHA 301 injury reports, witness statements, and follow-up training as needed.
- Provide training: Train new hires and existing employees in the proper use of fall protection systems and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support emergency response: Assist in addressing job site emergencies, including injuries or damages, and coordinate with emergency personnel when necessary.
- Travel when needed: Travel to other states to support safety audits, job site inspections, and fall protection reviews.
What You Bring
- 1-2 years of supervisory or field safety experience, preferably in the construction or solar industry
- OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and educate others on safe work practices
- Proven ability to identify hazards, analyze risks, and implement corrective actions effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and accountability
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
