Safety and Health Specialist

Leverages expertise, experience and best practices for safe work performance, safety equipment selection and continuous improvement initiatives. Provides technical support to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as well as Avista safety policies, procedures, and practices. Provides training support in all aspects of employee and public safety for operations and assigned corporate services. Maintains positive working relationships with employees, leaders, and the public. Works collaboratively with the safety team to achieve safety goals and objectives. Implements improvements aimed to reduce the number of injuries and accidents in the workplace.
