Overview
Job Summary
The purpose of this job is the overall management of the Home Health service line. Responsibilities include human resources, fiscal/budgetary management, regulatory and clinical management of all areas which includes nursing, case management, social services, OT, PT, ST, as well as office staff, clinical educator and scheduler.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
Assures compliance with regulatory agency standards and regulations (e.g.State, CMS and Joint Commission)
Assures quality services and patient satisfaction at all times
Collaborates with AVP of Patient Care Services to develop business development growth strategies
Develops and monitors department budget and addresses variances
Completes performance evaluations in a timely and fair manner
Orients, monitors, and develops staff
Ensures appropriate staffing levels and disciplines for volume of patients on service
Identifies, collects and analyzes data for performance improvement in collaboration with the AVP Patient Care Services
Responsible for reporting service line updates to the hospital Board of Directors at a minimum annually
- Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
Job Specifications (Minimum Requirements)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- RN or PT, OT, ST license.
- Extensive knowledge of Home Health regulations and documentation requirements.
- Demonstrates excellence in written and oral communication skills.

Must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills as well as aptitude for conflict resolution, problem solving, strategic planning and evaluation, financial analysis and staff development.
Ability to deliver and communicate the organization’s message around service excellence as well as to listen to our customers.
Ability to affect change working closely with departments throughout the organization, including: Quality, Patient relations, Nursing, Administration and be an influencer with the ability to encourage and inspire.
Education
Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health Related Required
May consider Bachelor’s degree with Master’s degree in progress and completion within 24 months
Experience
4 years of Home Healthcare is Required
2 years of Patient Care is Required
2 years of Supervisory/Administrative is Required
Certifications and Licensures
Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation is Required
Licensed Registered Nurse, or Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist is Required
