Mechanical Engineer

This role supports the Beam Pumping Units (BPU), Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) and Downhole Pump (DHP) segments of Lufkin Industries.  He/she will develop and analyze engineering designs, specifications, technical data, and drawings using sound engineering principles.  He/she will be responsible for determining design factors such as size, shape and arrangement of parts, design life, and safety margins.  Focus on cost-effective and reliable designs will play an important role in the work scope.  In this role, the Design Engineer will interface regularly with the Principal Engineer, adjacent functions to synergize total business efforts, and with Engineering and Product Line management to assure milestones are achieved..
