The Siegel Group, a property development and management company head-quartered in Las Vegas, is looking for an outstanding Legal Assistant. We manage a large portfolio of real estate assets, including hospitality, commercial and residential properties throughout the country. Our in-house legal department is looking for a professional and enthusiastic legal assistant to join its team. Any applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal, including at least 2 years of litigation support experience.
• Substantive knowledge of state and federal local rules and rules of civil procedure.
• Experience with state, federal, and appellate electronic court filing systems.
• Above-average proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, communication, and professional skills.
• Excellent grammar, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities and competing priorities.
• Must have reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide legal secretarial and administrative support to attorneys.
• Manage cases through all phases of civil litigation.
• Prepare, organize, maintain, and file legal documents and case materials.
• Manage attorney calendars, including calendaring litigation deadlines and court appearances.
• Schedule meetings and coordinate travel arrangements and meeting spaces as needed.
• Prepare electronic filings in state, federal, and appellate courts.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive legal matters.
• Communicate with attorneys, courts, vendors, and outside parties as necessary.
• Perform additional duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
Work Schedule
• Full-time position, Monday–Friday.
• Additional hours may be required based on business and litigation needs.
