Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- 2 years clinical experience in a hospital, healthcare, or behavioral health-related setting preferred.
- Proficiency in direct patient care and nursing practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and post-treatment care instructions.
- Monitor patients using telemetry equipment to detect cardiac and other physiological changes requiring intervention.
- Advocate for patients’ rights and needs, ensuring ethical and compassionate care is delivered at all times.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Deliver nursing care in medical, surgical, and pediatric settings, adapting to the specific requirements of each patient population.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

The required skills such as direct patient care and nursing care are fundamental to daily responsibilities, enabling the nurse to assess and respond to patient needs effectively. Patient education skills are utilized to communicate complex medical information clearly and compassionately, empowering patients to participate actively in their care. Wound care expertise ensures proper treatment and monitoring of injuries, reducing the risk of infection and promoting healing. Telemetry skills are critical for continuous cardiac monitoring, allowing timely interventions when abnormalities are detected. Patient advocacy and collaboration with nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals ensure that care plans are comprehensive, patient-centered, and aligned with best practices.
