Job Description

Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join the on a full-time basis. 

The moment a guest steps into our hotel you will make them feel at home with your welcoming and warm presence. You have the important job of working with your team and driving exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and inspire the front office team to deliver outstanding guest experiences, ensuring each guest is welcomed with warmth and professionalism.
  • Serve as a role model, sharing your expertise and driving the team to consistently uphold the highest standards of service excellence.
  • Oversee the execution of daily tasks, ensuring they are completed with precision and efficiency.
  • Manage guest arrivals and departures seamlessly, delivering a smooth and memorable check-in/check-out experience.
  • Proactively address and resolve guest concerns with professionalism, ensuring a lasting impression of exceptional service.

Shift Details (subject to change):

  • Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday 
  • Shift times scheduled within 6.30am - 10.30pm 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a hotel front office environment, demonstrating strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Extensive background in the hospitality industry, ideally within a hotel or resort setting, with a thorough understanding of guest service standards and operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to maintain a consistently positive and professional demeanour, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion of duties.
  • Impeccable professional presentation, reflecting the high standards of the organisation.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and adjust to varying schedules, as required by the operational needs of the business.
