Job Description
Overview
The position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and adjusting work schedules for security officers to ensure the facility is properly staffed. This role facilitate officer assignments, tracks call-offs, vacation requests, overtime, and attendance while maintaining compliance with company policies and client requirements. The Scheduler serves as a key communication point between management and officers to support efficient daily operations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly schedules for security officers.
- Coordinate staffing coverage for all assigned posts and shifts.
- Monitor and track employee call-offs, late arrivals, and attendance issues.
- Process and manage vacation requests and schedule changes with the Account Manager
- Contact available officers to fill open shifts caused by absences or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records in scheduling software and spreadsheets.
- Communicate schedule updates and staffing needs to officers and management timely.
- Track overtime and help control labor costs while maintaining proper coverage.
- Ensure staffing meets contractual obligations and company standards.
- Generate reports related to staffing, call-offs, and vacancies.
- Respond quickly to urgent staffing issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have previous scheduling, dispatch, or invoicing, payroll preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage last-minute changes.
- Knowledge of security industry operations is a plus.
