Job Description
The Nursing Director of the Child Birth Center is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Well-Baby Nursery units. The Director provides compassionate, hands-on leadership ensuring exceptional, person-centered care for mothers, newborns, and families. Guided by Planetree principles, this role fosters a healing environment that prioritizes dignity, respect, family involvement, and holistic care. The Director works in close partnership with the Chief of Obstetrics to support a collaborative, high-functioning care team and to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, patient-centered care for mothers, newborns, and families while maintaining regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and staff engagement.
