Job Description

 

Join our Toyota Heavy Duty Team as a Material Handler!

 

The Role:

 

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Material Handler who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, you’ll coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. If you enjoy tackling challenges with positivity and a bit of humor, you’ll feel right at home here.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Investigates and resolves problems with the delivery of missing parts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential shortages
  • Monitor production schedules, assign materials, and boost productivity by preventing delays that can affect delivery
  • Relaying information such as estimated delivery dates or other messages to and from the technicians and managers as needed
  • Assists in preparing & delivering material to end users

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 1 year of material handling experience
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Work overtime as needed, including weekend shifts
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening

What Sets You Apart:

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience in ERP System/Microsoft Access
  • Problem-Solving Skills

Where and When You’ll Work:

  • This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
  • Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package Will Look Like:

 

Wage: $18.75 per hour
