Student Success Advisor

 

Report To: Campus Director/Executive Director of Student Operations Location: Campus

FLSA Status: Exempt Travel : Negligible

Position Summary:

Independently direct and manage day to day student operations to successfully achieve retention objectives and overall campus profitability. Ensure high customer service standards and positively influence and motivate the students. Communicate student performance expectations and develop specific goals and objectives for each. Perform administrative functions and complete management reports accurately and timely. Abide by the school, state, and federal policies.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Project a positive image to staff, customers, business associates, and the community in accordance to Tricoci University Standards.
  • Act as a role model.
  • Ensure the implementation of student policies, timely and consistently.
  • Maintain cooperation and teamwork in the campus, creating a school spirit, placing a high emphasis on customer service and satisfaction by participating/promoting contests and student recognition.
  • Identify, evaluate and resolve problems in a timely manner, utilizing innovative ideas and sound judgment according to school policies.
  • Initiate student counseling, and/or expulsion procedures.
  • Prepare management reports and perform administrative functions accurately and timely.

Students:

  • Coordinate and execute communication, processes, and document flow with CRC departments.
  • Manage the student experience and education at the campus, including educational development programs, Student Council and Student Teams.
  • Coordinate parent involvement in student’s education while abiding by FERPA Laws.
  • Participate in IEP meetings.
  • Facilitate new student orientations.
  • Coordinate with CRC document flow for SS (14 day attendance monitoring, payments, reference information, refund checks, etc.)
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of student attendance in the student information system (Fame).
  • Maintain satisfactory student retention.
  • Facilitate job placement program.
  • Promote Facebook Placement initiative.
  • Manage the student exit process, including Graduation Prep.
  • Advise students on satisfactory attendance and academic progress and initiate counseling/separation procedures as needed.
  • Forward written student complaints to the Campus Director.
  • Consult and implement all student terminations with the Campus Director.
  • Facilitate and notify appropriate departments of changes in student status.
  • Communicate student retention and readmission progress and goals as needed to the Campus Director and Executive Director of Student Operations.

Regulatory:

  • Ensure the implementation and adherence of NACCAS, Federal, state and TUBC regulations and procedures.

Assist with special projects and coverage.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Licensed Cosmetology/Esthetics teacher preferred
  • Flexible schedule (day/evening/Saturdays)

  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills
