Your Opportunity
The Section Editor will be responsible for developing and/or editing high-quality content within specific content domain(s), applying both clinical knowledge/experience and the principles of evidence-based medicine. The candidate must have the ability to analyze and critically appraise medical research and literature and edit work produced by the editorial team.
This is a part-time, compensated position with an expected time commitment of 4-6 hours per week on average over the year.
What You'll Do
- Determine overall editorial Strategic plan for content development and maintenance of your Specialty in collaboration with the Deputy Editor
- Help recruit specialists in your field to serve as Topic Editors as needed
- Perform clinical proofing of DynaMed topics and act as a clinical resource for other team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Promote product adoption and usage via sales support at conferences or in online meetings with healthcare systems that are considering adoption of DynaMed
Secondary responsibilities (some of which you may participate in):
- Participate in the assessment of recently published articles for potential inclusion in DynaMed as well as clinical review of DynaMed content derived from included studies
- Assume additional responsibility for content, workflow, or projects that create value in pursuing DynaMed’s mission
- Participate in the development of Hospitalist-focused content and algorithms
- Oversee selection and clinical review of multimedia within Urology
About You
- MD or DO with license/certification current and in good standing
- Specialty board certification (if applicable)
- Ongoing participation in clinical activity
- > 5 years of direct patient care
- Familiar with the coverage of content in DynaMed in Urology
