HW Test Engineer – New Product Development

We are looking for a HW Test Engineer to join our R&D team in Nedre Vats or Oslo and play a key role in early-phase New Product Development (NPD). You will test hardware modules and sub-assemblies, uncover risks early, and help shape robust, high-quality products.
What you’ll do
Plan and execute hardware tests for modules and sub-assemblies
Set up and run lab testing, rigs, and instrumentation
Analyze results and identify failures, trends, and improvement areas
Support root cause investigations and validation of design changes
Work closely with hardware engineers to provide fast, actionable feedback
Contribute to improving test methods, setups, and practices
What we’re looking for
Background in mechanical, electronics, firmware or automation engineering
Hands-on experience with testing, prototyping, or lab work
Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving
Ability to turn test results into clear insights and actions
Strong collaboration skills and a proactive mindset
Relevant engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
