Schedule: Flexible scheduling with rotating weekend shifts required

Stratford Hills Veterinary Center is a well-established, three-doctor small animal practice in Richmond, VA, seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative, compassionate team.

What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate nursing care and support for patients
- Confidently restrain patients for exams and procedures
- Administer medications and vaccines orally, topically, and subcutaneously
- Perform laboratory testing on blood and urine samples
- Obtain diagnostic radiographs using proper positioning techniques
- Maintain accurate digital medical records
- Educate clients on medications, preventative care, and treatment plans
- Support surgical, dental, and emergency procedures while maintaining excellent patient care standards
What Our Veterinary Teams Bring
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician
- Strong patient handling and technical skills
- Knowledge of commonly used medications and preventatives
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and client service abilities
- Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Passion for veterinary medicine and exceptional patient care
- Fear Free certification and Avimark experience are a plus, but not required
