Volunteer Specialist Full Time

The Volunteer Specialist Full Time position primary is responsibility to recruit, encourage, and support volunteers of Answers in Genesis (AiG), the Creation Museum, and Ark Encounter.

This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
• Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
• Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
• Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
• Promote the volunteer opportunities available to guests, donors, supporters, and others
• Seek out new avenues for volunteer recruitment relationships
• Oversee the interviewing and vetting process for potential volunteers
• Serve as first contact for those interested in learning about volunteering opportunities
• Develop and oversee the orientation and training process for volunteers
• Work with volunteers and volunteer group leaders to match ministry needs with volunteer ability and availability.
• Work with department managers in the scheduling of volunteers
• Oversee and coordinate volunteer RV Lot
• When needed, assist department managers with creating a plan for volunteer participation 
• Monitor, evaluate, and periodically report on the volunteer program’s effectiveness and ROI.
• Assist with HR administrative duties.
• And all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment 
• Able to travel in the performance of duties 
• Ability to work independently; self-motivated. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
• Ability to work effectively with the management team.
