Job Description

Bestica is seeking a Multimedia Project Instructional System Designer to provide services for the UNITED STATES SCHOOL OF AEROSPACE MEDICINE (USAFSAM) ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT BRANCH (EDED) at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio.

 

SCOPE:  

 The 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, is the first human-centric warfare wing to consolidate human performance research, education, and consultation under a single organization. Established under the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the 711 HPW is comprised of the Airman Systems Directorate (RH), the USAFSAM, and the Human Systems Integration Directorate (HP). The Wing delivers unparalleled capability to the Air Force through a combination of world class infrastructure and expertise of its diverse workforce of military, civilian and contractor personnel encompassing 75 occupational specialties including science and engineering, occupational health and safety, medical professions, technicians, educators, and business operations and support.

Full-time:

The work schedule is normally M-F 0730-1630; however, there may be times when it is necessary for the contractor to work after duty hours in support of specific tasks. Although the schedule may have to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or five years applied experience in ISD techniques and related discipline that includes demonstrated experience in two of the four: Learning theory, Psychology of Learning, Educational Psychology: Study of Learning Theories as they relate to the systematic design, creation, and validation of instructional material.
  • Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, building design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness.
  • Educational assessment: Study of the techniques for rating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including creating written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of designed instruments.
  • Instructional product creation: Study of the techniques appropriate for creating training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and assessing training.
  • Proficient in current technologies that are used to develop cutting edge educational materials. Their expertise should include, but not limited to, technologies such as Adobe Captivate, packaging and delivering Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) packages, gaming, 3D modeling, virtual reality and simulation.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in organizational skills and the ability to work independently and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have outstanding filing, organizational, communication, and typing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Cloud based suite of productivity apps, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat programs.
  • Ability to critically think, problem solve, and effectively communicate through both writing and speech.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Air Force and professional standards.
  • Knowledge of military and civilian guidelines that govern policy and procedure.
  • Successful completion of USAFSAM's and Departments In-Processing/Orientation programs is required.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in educational technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or related discipline.
  • Experience with military protocols and administrative actions like decorations, evaluations, and reports.
