POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for providing professional waxing, brows and lash services, manicures, pedicures, paraffin dips, hand and foot scrubs, precise polish removal and application along with any seasonal specialty treatments related to waxing, brow and lash services, as well as manicure and pedicure experiences while also providing the highest level of hospitality and exemplary guest service. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Professional waxing, brows and lash services, manicures, pedicures, paraffin dips, hand and foot scrubs, precise polish removal and application along with any seasonal specialty treatments relate to the manicure and pedicure experience while also providing the highest level of hospitality and service 
  • Inform and educate guests on nail care, service products, experience and Salamander brand
  • Prepare and maintain the work area with necessary supplies
  • Set up and breakdown of the hand and foot Spa.
  • Communication of product quantities, ensuring a well-stocked workspace.
  • Accommodate special requests whenever possible; work to resolve customer concerns; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with the hotel and spa services.
  • Stock hand and foot Spa with clean terry and return used terry to allocated laundry bins.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and appropriately sanitized between guest’s experience. 
  • Use of Book4Time booking system.
  • Ability to upsell a service and provide retail suggestions that are relevant to the guest’s experience.
  • Use of opening/closing checklists to ensure all areas are well maintained, stocked and cleaned to ensure luxury level presentation and that all equipment is in good working order. 
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with other service professionals, team leads, supervisors and management 
  • Must be able to communicate information about Spa and hotel operations to our guests, answer product and treatment questions, and provide our guest with education about our locker room facilities, pool and fitness center. 
  • Ability to follow Salamander Resort and Collection Handbook procedures.
  • Adherence to hotel and spa safety procedures and the ability to contact/speak to security team members regarding any accidents or injury. 
  • Must appropriately handle and store all chemicals related to aforementioned job responsibilities and the cleanliness of the work space. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older. 
  • Must have 3 years' experience in waxing, brows, lashes and nail care, preferably in luxury environment. 

REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Stand, bend, crouch for periods of time and with repetition, use a broom and dustpan, cleaning products, lift 25 lbs. 
  • Posse a valid cosmetologist license. 
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • Possess and display a sincere willingness to provide elevated customer service to spa and hotel guests.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Work independently.
  • Function well under pressure, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, high sense of pride and responsibility for your role.
  • Utilize stairs/elevators.
