Job Description
SUMMARY
The Deburr Technician supports aerospace machining and assembly operations by finishing machined parts to meet precise dimensional and quality standards. This role is responsible for removing burrs, smoothing surfaces, and ensuring components meet blueprint specifications prior to inspection and assembly. The Deburr Technician plays a critical role in maintaining part integrity, safety, and overall production quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Grind, file, sand, and polish metal surfaces to specified shapes and smoothness using hand tools and power tools
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined components
- Finish contoured surfaces to meet blueprint and engineering requirements
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions and quality
- Visually inspect parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow established safety procedures and company policies
- Support additional shop functions as needed to meet production demands

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior deburring experience required
- Machine shop experience preferred
- Experience working in aerospace or manufacturing environments preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident status may be required based on contract or customer requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Full-time position
- Manufacturing and machine shop environment
- Exposure to noise, metal shavings, dust, and machining equipment
- Frequent standing, bending, and handling of metal components
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
- May require lifting up to 50 pounds
