EveryMind is hiring a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data to support decision-making. This includes developing financial models, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, assisting with grant/contract applications, and recommending process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analyze financial data, including budgets, revenue, and expenses, to support decision-making.
  2. Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
  3. Ensure compliance with regulatory and grant reporting requirements.
  4. Assist with grant/contract applications and recommend financial process improvements.
  5. Develop detailed monthly financial reporting of program and department performance
  6. Ability to manage datasets from excel, grant and accounting systems to generate automated reporting.
  7. Track and monitor restricted and unrestricted funding streams in compliance with financial reporting
  8. Generate submission of grant/contract budget modification to meet quick turnaround requests and deadlines.
  9. Ability to communicate effectively across program and departments to provide business partner support.
  10. Maintain data governance across agency to ensure consistent data sharing follows best practices.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Supervision to be exercised:

Occasional supervision of interns and volunteers.

Supervision to be received:

Reports to Finance Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

 

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in accounting or financial analysis. Experience with budget development, financial forecasting, and internal/external reporting. General knowledge of payroll processes and related reporting. Nonprofit finance experience strongly preferred.

 

Skills:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and clearly present financial data to diverse audiences. Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Clear and effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred. Experience with Abila and Concur strongly preferred; familiarity with Paycom also preferred.

Effectively interact and work collaboratively in a flexible work environment with a variety of constituents including clients and family members or caretakers, interns, volunteers, paid staff, CEO, board members, and community partners. Ability to express ideas with clarity, confidence and sensitivity. Must be able to maintain confidentiality involving clients in accordance with organizational and federal guidelines.

Clearance Requirements:

The employee must pass a criminal background check. Certain job functions may require employee to pass a child sexual abuse and other criminal activity as well as a credit check. All staff providing services to staff or clients, must be free of illegal drugs and abuse of alcohol, and must be fully able to always perform all required duties.

The employee must be available to perform the duties of the job during most, but not limited to core business hours (between 9-5pm, M-F), some flexibility with schedule may be available (evening and/or weekend hours). Employees will work mostly on-site but may work some hours remotely with the approval of supervisor.

 

The employee is also required to travel to different locations. Therefore, the employee must have access to reliable transportation.
