Loan Officer 

Kingfisher, Oklahoma


 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Loan Officer is primarily responsible for making and servicing consumer and commercial loans, both secured and unsecured. Handles both large and small credits. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Monitors and manages existing credit relationships which include note renewals, detailed analysis of current financial statements and collateral valuations, credit analysis, cash flow analysis, delinquency reporting, documenting and curing exceptions, covenant monitoring, compiling reports necessary to monitor asset and credit quality, and compliance with BancFirst policies/procedures/regulations.


Negotiates loan proposals, analyzes and evaluates credit requests, recommends appropriate credit grade, creates and presents written loan memorandums for credit approval, and implements approval or declination action.


Develops new business through identifying and calling on existing or prospective customers, promotes and cross-sells Bank’s services, and works with Bank operations areas to ensure that quality service is provided.


Participates in community and professional activities to enhance the Bank’s image and expand personal network of contacts for development of new business.


Assists with other job-related duties and special projects as requested.


Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

REQUIREMENTS

 

Bachelor’s Degree required (Business major or Formal Credit training preferred)


OR


Minimum of 5 years’ experience underwriting Commercial Loans as well as Consumer Loan experience.

 

Must have ability to analyze complex financial data and create/present accurate, articulate, and detailed written credit memorandums that comply with internal policy, procedures, and underwriting guidelines.


Must possess a working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Fair Lending, HMDA, Flood, and CRA.


Must possess working knowledge of collateral perfection requirements.

 

Must demonstrate ability to grow quality portfolio with annual performance goals.


Must possess and exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive written reports and verbal presentations.


Must demonstrate ability to efficiently operate a computer.


Must demonstrate a working knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning skills.


Must demonstrate the ability to work well under stress and deadlines while managing multiple tasks.


Demonstrate the ability to perform at a high level in a highly sensitive environment and handle sensitive information confidentially.


Professionally interact with all staff and departments to ensure the accurate resolution of problems and errors.


Willingness to work additional hours when crucial to production, regulatory or loan closing timelines.


Must demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.

 

 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

 

Experience with Agricultural Lending preferred.


Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

 

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Constant use of computer screens 


Ability to operate a computer keyboard


Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching 


 Long periods of typing and repetitive motion


 Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10 pounds
