Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
As a Pest Controller, you will play a vital role in implementing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) methods within a Military environment to control Insects, Rodents, Feral Animals, and specific vegetation. The role involves applying EPA Registered and DoD Approved products, tracking and transporting feral animals, and addressing various pest-related challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities
Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) methods for control of insects, rodents, feral animals, and vegetation.
Apply EPA Registered and DoD Approved products for control and prevention of pests and vegetation as needed.
Track, trap, and transport feral animals (Jackals, Foxes, Wild Dogs, Cats, etc….) as needed.
Control and prevention of insects/pests with focus on filth flies, rodents, ants, bed bugs, mosquitoes, and sand flies.
Address snake, bird, and weed control as required.
Perform heavy lifting, night work, monitor sanitation practices, and routine inspections of buildings, facilities, and surroundings for potential infestations to ensure all work locations have an effective Integrated Pest Management plan in place.
Sprays chemicals, lays poisonous bait, sets mechanical traps, or any other needed treatment to fix pest problems.
Clean areas that harbor pests to prepare area for fumigation.
Utilize a variety of equipment in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines.
Prepares and submits reports as required by work instructions and other applicable contract requirements, guidelines, and procedures.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
High School Diploma and at least 1 year of hands-on pest control experience.
DoD Certification with Categories 6, 7 and 8 or have a valid equivalent State Certified Applicators License or equivalent.
Beginner in English proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English at a Beginner level.
Familiar with a variety of equipment related to the elimination of pests using HSE guidelines.
Requires a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis as well as climb, reach, crawl, bend, crouch and work in tight spaces.
Valid Driver’s License.
Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Familiarity with international Pest Control standards and practices.
Prior experience working on stateside or overseas U.S. military facilities/installations.
Proficiency in technology and programs supporting Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) Pest Control.
