Overview:

 

Provide client supervision and conduct activities in accordance with professional staff direction and unit procedures. Assist clients in activities of daily living, encourage client participation in daily scheduled activities, maintain safe and clean environment. Document service activities in accordance with unit procedures. Assist with development and implementation of program schedule of activities.

 

ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

 

1. Conducts daily psychosocial rehabilitation activity groups using Agency approved modules. All groups must be held on-time per the posted schedule.

 

2. Plans daily/weekly activities schedules in accordance with overall approved plan for activity services. Updates activity schedule posted on the unit as changes occur.

 

3. Completes daily group note documentation for each client before the end of each shift. Completes individual progress notes for contact with clients outside of group as appropriate or directed by clinical team.

 

4. Maintains group inventories of equipment and supplies. Orders supplies as needed with approval from Inpatient Director.

 

Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a major in psychology, social work, counseling or related human services field preferred; relevant experience may substitute BA degree.

 

Licensure or Certification:

  • Maintain current CPR, CPI and First Aid certifications.
  • Possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
  • Maintain authorization as an approved Center vehicle driver.
