What You’ll Do

As our Camp Cook, you’ll play a key role in keeping our camp community energized and thriving:

• Prepare and serve nutritious, delicious meals for campers, staff, and guests
• Follow menus and recipes while adjusting quantities to meet group needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
• Properly store food and manage leftovers according to safety standards
• Set up and support meal service in the dining hall
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Help ensure the safety and well-being of everyone on camp property
• Be an active part of the camp community and support YMCA initiatives

What You Bring

• A positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Ability to follow recipes and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
• Ability to lift 30+ pounds and stay active throughout your shift
• Willingness to work in both indoor and occasional outdoor conditions
• Previous cooking experience is a plus, but not required

Requirements

• Must pass a background check
• Safe Serve certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
