Schedule: Part-time hours; varies based on team needs
PAY RATE: $15.00/hr
The YMCA is seeking a Head Competitive Gymnastics Coach to lead our competitive gymnastics program. This role oversees coaching staff, athlete development, program quality, communication with families, scheduling, and safety. The ideal candidate is an experienced gymnastics coach who can build strong relationships, model YMCA values, and create a positive, high‑performance training environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor competitive gymnastics coaching staff
- Oversee training plans, skill progressions, and athlete development
- Ensure safe spotting, equipment use, and adherence to YMCA and USAG standards
- Communicate clearly with parents regarding schedules, travel, and policies
- Support program growth, athlete retention, and positive member experience
- Manage schedules, equipment, and program organization
- Maintain a visible, supportive presence during practices and meets
Qualifications:
- Prior gymnastics coaching experience required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse athletes and families
- CPR/First Aid/AED & Mandatory Reporter (within 30 days)
- Must pass background check
