GroundsOverview of Position:
Oversees and performs routine maintenance on all grounds and equipment to ensure the Genesis facilities are maintained to provide a safe and aesthetically pleasing experience for patients, visitors, and employees. Facilitates crew projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members to drive performance, accountability, and positive workplace culture.
2. Understands and uses products and equipment related to grounds tasks according to manufacturers' instructions to perform job tasks safely and competently, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
3. Performs preventative maintenance tasks, including vehicle inspections on all equipment, to include vehicles.
4. Uses a chainsaw and tree trimmers to remove dead trees and bushes.
5. Uses a power washer for cleaning the exterior of buildings.
6. Uses a paint stripper for painting cross lines or ADA markings.
7. Maintains landscaping elements such as trees, shrubs, flower beds, and turf areas.
8. Dismantles and replaces signage after repair.
9. Repairs fences, sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor buildings.
10. Collects and disposes of trash from exterior areas, parking lots, and entrances.
11. Removes snow and ice from walkways, entrances, and roadways; applies de-icing materials as needed.
12. Performs and facilitates department moves including relocation of furniture and other items.
13. Reports or repairs exterior lighting outages.
14. Participates in mandatory in-service meetings (e.g., TB testing, safety, HIPAA)
15. Speaks to patients and co-workers in a respectful manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or facilities support.
3. Knowledge of landscape design, parking lot and sidewalk repair.
4. Valid Ohio drivers license with insurable driving record.
5. Must have mechanical aptitude to perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
6. Effective verbal communication skills; ability to follow written instructions.
7. Ability to read and write basic English.

2. Typically stands and/or walks 7 hours per day.
3. Position requires bending, stooping and reaching.
4. Lifting is required with items weighing as much as 50 lbs. or more.

6. May require early mornings, weekends, or support during inclement weather.
