Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Integrated Schedule Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Healthcare Engineering and Facilities Program (HEFP) under the Integrated Healthcare Technology (IHT 2.0) contract. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and analyze complex integrated master schedules (IMS) spanning IT infrastructure and physical infrastructure capital projects that directly support VA healthcare facilities and Veterans nationwide. You will serve as a key advisor to program leadership, ensuring project scope, schedule, and cost parameters are tracked and reported in alignment with federal program management standards.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive scheduling professional who thrives in a fast-paced federal healthcare environment and can translate complex, multi-workstream program data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across large-scale government programs are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, baseline, and maintain complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for VHA capital IT and physical infrastructure projects using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Web App (PWA), ensuring schedules reflect accurate logic, resource loading, and critical path analysis.
  • Monitor and report on project scope, schedule, and cost performance parameters, identifying variances against baselines and providing written and verbal status updates to program leadership and federal stakeholders on a regular cadence.
  • Identify, track, mitigate, and escalate schedule risks and issues, maintaining a risk register and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and government contracting officers to implement corrective actions and contingency plans.
  • Integrate schedules across multiple concurrent workstreams, subcontractors, and government teams, reconciling dependencies and ensuring cross-program alignment in support of VHA healthcare facility modernization and infrastructure lifecycle objectives.
  • Apply life cycle and project management methodologies (e.g., PMI PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall) to schedule development and control processes, ensuring compliance with VA, federal, and contract-specific program management requirements and reporting standards.
  • Prepare and deliver schedule analysis artifacts including Gantt charts, milestone trackers, look-ahead schedules, and executive-level briefing materials using Microsoft Office and other scheduling tools, supporting data-driven decision-making at the program and portfolio level.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing schedules for projects/programs with a qualifying BS degree, OR 10 years of schedule management experience without a degree, with demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure and/or physical/capital infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience (10 years) accepted in lieu of degree per PWS requirements.
  • Prior experience supporting federal government programs, preferably with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), or other federal healthcare or facilities agencies; familiarity with federal capital investment and acquisition processes is strongly desired.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust (MBI background investigation) as required for access to VA systems, facilities, and sensitive program data; existing VA PIV or federal agency clearance/access is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Project Web App (PWA); experience with additional scheduling or program controls tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Power BI) and demonstrated experience tracking and reporting capital project scope, schedule, and cost parameters.
