SCHEDULE: Will vary depending on practice and game schedule.
- Game and practice schedules regularly occur on the weekends.
- Travel to off campus facilities and away games is required.
HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 44 weeks/year (10-month position)
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt, Salaried
GENERAL PURPOSE
Performing evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of athletic injuries for 21 NCAA/Club Athletic Teams competing at the NCAA Division II level. Practice and game coverage and other duties as assigned by Senior Associate AD for Sport Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of athletic injuries for 21 NCAA/Club Athletic Teams competing at the NCAA Division II level.
- Work in conjunction with the Sports Medicine Team, consisting of the Associate AD for Sports Medicine, the Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Trainers, Team Physicians, Team Physical Therapist and Strength and Conditioning Coach, to provide the highest medical care to Molloy University Student-Athletes.
- Attend and supervise both home and away contests and practices.
- Maintain appropriate medical records both on paper and through electronic mediums, including insurance claims.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Athletic Training Room.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer, New York State Department of Education Certified Athletic Trainer
- 1 to 3 years of work-related experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook Word)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree
- Sportsware or other EMS
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
- Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary for this position is $52,000 to $54,000.This hiring salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
