Schedule:

Varied between the hours of 7AM to 5PM

(25 to 30 hours weekly)

 

The Mobile Pantry Coordinator, works to coordinate all aspects of the Mobile Pantry program in compliance with Feeding America, USDA and UFB standards; Meet UFB site visit requirements; Ensure required data is obtained from mobile pantry sites. Maintain mobile pantry publications and schedule. Some travel is required, including limited overnight travel.

 

Duties:

  • Works with SDC Programs Manager to coordinate the MP schedule and arrange changes as needed
  • Coordinate and oversee MP deliveries at scheduled sites
  • Train, communicate and work with MP site coordinators regarding site issues, concerns and questions, provide written materials and confirm schedules/changes/cancellations
  • Troubleshoot MP issues
  • Communicate with transportation and inventory; verify monthly distribution to sites; post on MP calendar
  • Work with drivers and site coordinators to ensure MP events run smoothly and that guidelines are being followed between clients, volunteers and staff.
  • Work with warehouse and inventory to coordinate product distribution by providing numbers served and helping refine amounts of product on truck, especially perishable products
  • Ensure MP sites collect and submit client signature sheets with client counts;
  • Enter people served and volunteer hours at MPs into UFB systems
  • Monitor MP sites in accordance with current UFB guidelines
  • Explore and onboard new MP sites as needed
  • Work with SDC Inventory Associates to enter and maintain MP accounts & new accounts in Ceres
  • Work with SLC and insure all SDC MP deliveries are on google calendar statewide
  • For MPs with no site coordinator, recruit volunteers from clients or UFB staff
  • Maximize use of volunteers on a regular basis with MP program
  • Keep SDC Programs Manager/SDC Director informed of MP program issues and concerns
  • Participate in conferences and community representation as assigned by the SDC Programs Manager/SDC Director
  • Maintain and restock supplies needed for mobile sites
  • Assist MSP coordinators and kids programs lead as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

 

  • 1 to 3 years directly related experience dealing with clients/customers in social service setting
  • Able to work with diverse groups and individuals in a friendly but firm manner
  • Able to work independently and as a team member
  • Must be able to plan, direct and complete complex tasks
  • Strong organization skills and excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • Good customer service skills; excellent leadership and conflict-resolution skills
  • Intermediate computer skills with database and spreadsheet programs
  • Able to relate to clients, agency staff, donors and the community at large in a positive manner
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR required prior to hire)
  • High positive energy level and high standards of professional ethics and conduct

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires physical exertion at MP sites such as long periods of standing, walking on uneven surfaces, recurring bending, stooping, stretching, reaching; lifting of moderately heavy items. Candidates should be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. on a regular basis as needed. This person will be regularly exposed to variable weather conditions from mild to extreme heat and cold, fumes and air particles. During peak seasons, all UFB staff may be asked to assist with receiving donations, picking up donations or other customer service work outside the normal scope of duties.
