Job Description:
At Regions, the Capital Markets Fixed Income Origination Lead is responsible for the origination of fixed income business. This role is responsible for executing the strategy for the business area and working with key stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved.
Regions’ Capital Markets provides products and services to meet the needs of Corporate, Commercial, and Real Estate clients throughout the bank. Capital Markets provides hedging products that enable clients to manage risks associate with interest rate, commodity, and foreign exchange exposures. The capital raising services provided by Capital Markets complements the bank’s lending activities. Capital Markets also provides advisory services associated with mergers and acquisitions as well as non-traditional forms of capital.
The array of products offered by Capital Markets helps Regions’ Relationship Managers compete in today’s rapidly evolving financial environment. Capital Markets provides guidance and support to Regions’ line side, assisting with winning and maintaining the role of trusted advisor to clients. The list of product offerings is constantly expanding in reaction to market demands.
Primary Responsibilities
Executes internal strategy as it relates to Capital Markets Fixed Income Origination
Assists in enabling clients to manage risks associated with interest rate, commodity, and foreign exchange
Provides advice to clients on occasion as it relates to mergers and acquisitions
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Five (5) years of related experience
Preferences
Master’s degree in a related field, preferably Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Experience in financial services and/or fixed income origination
Skills and Competencies
Ability to learn additional systems as needed
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work under moderate guidance
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
