Location: Remotely from Poland with a few site visits per month
Salary range: 14,420 PLN – 24,720 PLN gross monthly
Introduction:
Lineage is the world’s largest and most innovative provider of temperature-controlled logistics, with 25,000+ colleagues worldwide. Poland is part of Region EU4 with 7 sites across the country, Bieniewo, Dabrowa, Grodzisk, Lebork, Gdansk, Gdynia or Gnatowice.
Lineage is a cloud “only” company with all front-line applications being hosted in the cloud. The Global NetOps teams owns the network infrastructure and platform for Lineage globally, we build the foundation for having all sites, datacentres and cloud environments to be connected with each other, in a secured and high available set-up.
The NetOps team is customer focused and manages the support and operations via an MSP partnership. The MSP is responsible for the day-to-day operations including handling incidents, change and escalations. NetOps is governance of that MSP responsibilities as well as working on continuous improvement, problem resolution and new initiatives. Although the team relies on the MSP to perform the day-to-day operations, this role will be expected to be hands on during escalation incidents.
The Role:
As a Firewall & Connectivity Services Engineer, you are part of a small team focusing on Firewall & Connectivity solutions. This role can be based remotely in Poland but would be preferable to visit a site a few times per month.
· This team is responsible for managing the network infrastructure, specifically:
-Firewall Solutions (Edge Firewalls, Segmentation Firewalls)
-Connectivity solutions (SDWAN, SASE, MPLS, BGP/Routing)
-Connectivity flows and policies (North/South Traffic, East/West Traffic
-OT Firewall Solutions
· As this position will be working for all Lineage global networks, you will need to be comfortable with managing various environments, with regional requirements while keeping Lineage on its overall strategic roadmap.
· Provide expert advice/technical support/guidance for network services-related matters during major incidents or to support our Global MSP.
· Design and implement scalable and secure firewall architectures, policies and configurations to protect the global network infrastructure.
· Implementing security measures to protect all networks, including ACLs, NAC, PNAC, IPS/IDS, and data encryption. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Develop and execute a comprehensive global firewall strategy that aligns with the company’s security objectives and business goals.
· Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, optimizing resource utilization, and recommending infrastructure improvements.
· Developing scripts and automation workflows to streamline administrative tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and deployments.
· Manage relationships with firewall vendors and service providers, ensuring that solutions are effectively supported and maintained
Who we’re looking for:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
· Ideally 8+ years of experience in network security, with extensive hands-on experience in firewall design, implementation, and management in a global enterprise environment
· Strong expertise with major firewall platforms (e.g., Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Check Point).
· In-depth understanding of network protocols, VPNs, NAT, routing, network segmentation, and cloud security
· Experience with firewall management and monitoring tools, as well as SIEM platforms for log analysis
· Strong understanding of the business impact of IT tools, technologies, and policies
· Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities
· Previous experience working in a global environment
