Responsibilities

  • Inspection of product utilizing CMM Technology and other inspection methods to customer requirements ensuring completion of all required documentation customer standards.
  • Calibration of CMM probes as required for each product to be inspected
  • Ability to read and understand CMM inspection reports, manual inspection results with reference to the relevant customer supplied drawings / models and communicate outcomes and issues with Quality, Engineering and Operations
  • Utilization of other inspection methods to verify any feature where CMM has inspection limitations.
  • Communicate with applicable GE personnel on the inspection status of products as required.
  • Ability to operate all CMM’s and profilometers within the facility
  • Supporting quality team with calibration activity requiring CMM inspection.
  • Actively participate in companywide quality / business improvements activities & lean practices
  • Uphold and practice the company’s values, policies, practices and rules at all times
  • Continue to personally progress and add value within the GE’s continuous improvement ethos.
  • Implement the company’s Health & Safety Policy in your respective areas on a day-today basis.
  • Complete any other reasonable duties required by the company
  • Participate in personal development / training through the ongoing appraisal system.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in quality control or inspection, with a focus on CMM operations
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
