Pool Bartender
We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and guest-focused Pool Bartender to join our team! The Pool Bartender is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences by providing friendly, engaging, and attentive service in a fast-paced outdoor pool environment. From the initial greeting to the final farewell, the Pool Bartender delivers memorable hospitality while preparing and serving beverages efficiently, safely, and responsibly.

Essential Functions:
Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the pool bar and surrounding lounge areas.
Provide exceptional guest service through friendly interactions and personalized recommendations.
Guide guests through the beverage menu using descriptive selling techniques and product knowledge.
Accurately take and enter beverage and food orders, confirming all special requests.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and company standards.
Ensure compliance with all California alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service practices.
Maintain proper setup, cleanliness, and organization of the pool bar throughout each shift.
Stock and replenish beer, wine, spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
Prepare, cut, and store fresh fruit garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to maintain quality standards.
Process guest transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and present checks in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with pool servers, food runners, restaurant staff, and management to ensure seamless guest service.
Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address concerns, escalating issues when appropriate.
Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting pool deck and bar area in accordance with health and safety standards.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including securing inventory, completing cash handling procedures, and cleaning work areas.
Adhere to all resort policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in a resort, poolside, or high-volume environment.
Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
Excellent communication and guest service skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Must possess or obtain all required California food handling and responsible beverage service certifications.
Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
