This role combines technical GIS expertise with people leadership, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality project data while coaching and developing a team of GIS Analysts.You will play a key role in maintaining data quality, improving team performance, supporting continuous process improvement, and ensuring excellent service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesGIS Research & Data ManagementCreate, update, and maintain construction project information and client reports.Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of GIS data through regular quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities.Utilize GIS software and mapping tools to develop, edit, and validate spatial data.Manage project workflows to ensure deliverables are completed within agreed service levels.Respond to client enquiries promptly and professionally.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.Perform project editing, validation, and quality checking of work completed by GIS Analysts.Assist with ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned.Represent Hubexo professionally when communicating with industry contacts and clients.Uphold company policies, values, and Workplace Health & Safety (OH&S) standards.Team LeadershipSupport the Team Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the GIS team.Facilitate productive team meetings and monitor daily and weekly performance.Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and first-level performance feedback to team members.Assist with performance reviews and individual development planning.Train, onboard, and support new GIS team members.Monitor individual and team productivity, quality, attendance, and KPI achievement.Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans where required.Maintain open communication across the GIS team and collaborate effectively with other departments.Escalate operational issues, risks, and resource concerns to the Team Manager.Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Achievement of individual and team productivity targets.Timely delivery of client reports and project milestones.Accuracy and quality of GIS project data.Daily polygon upload targets.Quality assurance scores and reduction of data errors.Client enquiry response times.Team attendance, engagement, and performance metrics.Continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiencies.Qualifications & ExperienceEssentialBachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Surveying, Urban Planning, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.At least 3 years of experience in GIS, mapping, spatial data management, or a related research environment.Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising a small team.Strong working knowledge of GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.Experience working with spatial databases, digital maps, and geospatial data.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Experience using internet research tools and databases.Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.Strong organisational and time management skills.Customer-focused with the ability to respond professionally to client enquiries.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.DesirableExperience in the construction, engineering, property, or infrastructure industries.Knowledge of AutoCAD, CAD drawings, or construction plans.Experience with spatial analysis and geospatial reporting.Knowledge of SQL or database management.Experience with quality assurance and process improvement methodologies.Familiarity with Agile or Lean working practices.Experience working with international or shared services teams.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageCareer growth and leadership development opportunitiesExposure to global projects and international stakeholdersCollaborative and supportive work environmentOpportunity to contribute to a leading global construction intelligence company
