What You Can Expect
- Build, manage and oversee the day-to-day for SONiC and SAI project activities, from definition to customer release
- Define the project roadmap and software content with Marketing and Architecture teams and build details execution plans with R&D teams
- Provide updates to stakeholders, identify risk, resolve cross-functional issues, define mitigation plans, track the progress till successfully solution – and ensuring transparency and accountability
- Drive changes and technical discussions, look for areas of improvements and implement the changes cross teams
- Evaluate, track, and prioritize new requests and collaborate with customer support team till successfully delivery
- Define, manage, and track dashboards and online reports using Jira and Confluence
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities across projects and team, optimize efforts and resources to achieve project and company objectives
- Full program responsibility at all stages: definition, planning, development, validation and delivery to customers
- Drive execution in a matrix organization across hundreds of engineers in development, validation and support teams
- Partner with customer support group to define the existing customers requirements and plan accordingly
- Partner with multiple development and validation teams to plan, execute, track, identify the risks and mitigate them, and drive all for best products delivery
- Ensures problems are effectively escalated and crisis management activated, as needed
- Monitors and controls the overall project performance against plan and looks to the project team to implement adjustments when issues are identified and require resolution
- Drives the work for complex and large project teams by recommending or requesting resources to support project demands and communicates a clear vision of business project goals and objectives
- Manage the programs from all aspects – content definition, ROI, progress tracking, risks identification and mitigation, resources allocation and sub-contractors handling
- Partner with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department and within other business units as well
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall stakeholder expectations and company's objectives
What We're Looking For
Marvell Technology Data Center networking group is seeking an experienced Software Program Manager who will be directly responsible for the flawless delivery of switch software products to Marvell’s customers.
This role owns software programs end‑to‑end—from definition through customer delivery—coordinating closely with Marketing, Architecture, R&D, and Customer Support teams.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in program management or advanced technical management roles
- Experience in SONiC and SAI (Switch Abstraction Layer) technologies is a plus
- Proven experience managing complex software programs across multiple teams
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and release management
- Experience with Agile methodology and Jira based execution
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Strong risks identification, analysis and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
