Internship in the field of Controller and Observer Design for Highly Automated Commercial Vehicles (ADAS) starting april 2026

Daimler Truck AG is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles. In the ADAS Sensor Fusion and Control team, we process vehicle sensors such as radar and camera systems, as well as internal vehicle measurements, into a consistent environment model with objects, lanes, etc. To this end, we develop robust estimation methods to determine vehicle states and the surrounding environment that explicitly account for uncertainties. These observers form the basis for model‑based longitudinal and lateral dynamics control, enabling precise and safe vehicle behavior in everyday commercial vehicle operation.
