Qualifications
- No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Previous Forklift experience or one year of Goodwill warehouse experience.
- Forklift Operator Certification is required.
- The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
- Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
- Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Handles all donations with care and respect.
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated areas.
- Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product type are loaded and shipped.
- Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
- Efficiently move product from staging and storage areas into trailers.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
- Use machinery safely and appropriately to tip or compact designated products for sale or recycling.
- Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
- Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security.
- Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Risk Management, or employee hotline
- Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
