The Adhesives & Fluids business within DuPont primarily serves the automotive market. This position is responsible for laboratory work supporting R&D and TS&D projects.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with guidelines for laboratory equipment, supplies, training procedures, and records in accordance with Quality System standards and laboratory safety requirements.
  • Follow guidance from R&D Scientists and TS&D Engineers to develop testing plans and conduct laboratory tests to support adhesive product and application development, including sample preparation, testing, and result summarization.
  • Prepare experimental and test reports for R&D projects and customer requests.
  • Collaborate with R&D Scientists and TS&D Engineers to establish new laboratory test methods based on business needs.
  • Work with the Lab Manager to install new equipment and complete Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
  • Submit samples to internal and external testing resources and collect test reports according to business needs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of laboratory work to ensure traceability of sample information, test conditions, and results.
  • Manage laboratory work efficiently while ensuring high-quality and reliable test data.
  • Be responsible for the safe operation of chemicals and laboratory equipment, proper disposal of laboratory waste, equipment maintenance, raw material inventory management, and 5S management in assigned laboratory areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related field.
  • More than 2 years of adhesive laboratory testing experience in R&D and/or TS&D teams, preferably within multinational companies. Experience with reactor and mixer operations, as well as polymer mechanical and rheological testing, is preferred.
  • Strong discipline in writing experimental summaries and technical reports.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in Chinese; able to read instrument manuals and technical literature in English.
  • Good laboratory safety practices and 5S management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong learning agility and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused, global environment.
